Joel was my instructor for my very first carry permit.A great teacher and great sense of humor.The world will have a whole in it without him.My deepest sympathy to his family.

The world has lost a great, great man. Joel was a man of courage, leadership, love of liberty and an incredible teacher. His grand sense of humor combined with his deep beliefs made him an extrodinary individual. I thank Joel for all of his knowledge and awareness he shared with me. Joel improved many lives through his teachings and activism. There are no words to thank him enough for the value he has given to so many. He shall be deeply, deeply missed. My heart goes to his family during this time.

Gov Dayton already vetoed all the republican bills.My guess is he would veto this too. He needs to grow up and listen to his constituents.

My wife Jan and I, along with about 30+ friends and permit holders, have been calling the senate leadership this afternoon encouraging the Senate Leadership to schedule this bill in for a vote. My wife received this message (paraphrased) from a John at Claire Robling’s (our rep) office stating that the author of the bill, which I believe is Gretchen Hoffman, has actually decided to pull the bill due to concerns about some of the details of the language in the bill. I made a call, left a message and sent an email to Senator Gretchen Hoffman to verify if this is accurate and for further clarification.
